March 30: A Day in Hoi An

Our hotel in Hoi An was about 10 minutes by cab out of the the old town and uniquely designed for family vacations.

Our dedicated local guide was a resident of Hoi An and was able to take us from one site to the next by ally ways past private residences. He also knew the right tailor for me to purchase a hand made shirt, finished in 5 hours, and a perfect fit.

The  Old Town is pedestrian only, so conveyance vendors offer to drive one around in this version of the trishaw. The drivers offer directions to a restaurant or other sites of interest.
